Dashcam Captures Speeding Jeep's Freeway Flip-Over

The flipping Jeep’s passenger and driver reportedly only suffered minor injuries.

Let’s be honest, despite the fact that we are all Jeep Wrangler fans here, it’s important to remember that the SUVs simply don’t have the capability to recover from some sudden turns.

Clearly, a Jeep driver caught on a motorist’s dash cam neglected to take that into consideration when speeding down a highway, flying through traffic. As shown in a Fox 10 TV report, the Jeep can be seen passing cars on the road and clipping a vehicle, before flipping over several times.

A car behind the Jeep had to swerve out of the way to avoid hitting the vehicle. Even wilder, the dash-cam clip captures the driver being ejected from the Jeep as it’s flipping over, and landing on the freeway.

AJ Calvin, who captured the video from his truck, said he had just seen a Mustang fly by before seeing the Jeep flip over.

“It landed on its side and debris was everywhere, all the belongings that were in the Jeep were out, just white smoke and debris everywhere,” Calvin told the local Alabama Fox affiliate. He also said there was a person pulled from the Jeep’s passenger seat after the incident.

Surprisingly, the Jeep’s driver and passenger only suffered minor injuries, according to the report. The driver was actually seen getting up and walking after being ejected from the Jeep.

Calvin seems to think that seat belts may have saved the driver and passenger from suffering more serious damage. But we’re more inclined to think that they just ended up being really fortunate.
