For many, this winter feels like a really bad rendition of the movie Groundhog Day. The cold and snow seem to be relentless, and places that typically don’t see a lot of freezing weather are getting hit with everything from blizzard conditions to freezing rain.

This is especially evident in North Carolina, where after being exposed to freezing rain, a Jeep Cherokee pulled out of a parking spot, and all that was left behind was a near-perfect frozen mask of the Cherokee’s front end.

Trista Stiles, a nurse in Greenville, North Carolina, discovered the imprint on a colleague’s car around 4:30 in the afternoon last Tuesday. She told FCA social media guru Mike Driehorst that she had to fight the urge to kick it down, so that others would be able to see it. Impressive, considering my inner-8 year old would HAVE to kick it down.

This winter weather season has been, at the very least, an annoyance for many parts of the country. Freezing rain is especially dangerous, because of its ability to cause accidents and down power lines. But as this Jeep mask shows us, the aftermath of such weather is often some of the most beautiful of Mother Nature’s artwork.
