Jeep and Chrysler Make Massive July Waves

Obviously no one told Chrysler or the people who bought Chrysler that there is still sort of a recession going on. Today, Chrysler released its July Sales Report and hit a staggering 20-percent increase in total sales. Twenty percent over the entire company! That is just staggering. What’s even more amazing is what the individual brands achieved.

The biggest increase over the entire company somehow was Jeep. I know there is the new Cherokee, and Grand Cherokee, and the lovely SRT8, but how did they manage to boost sales 41 percent? It was their best July ever. EVER. They’ve been a company since World War II, and they just broke this record. Are their products that good? Chrysler, I would be more than willing to try out your entire lineup one day, or just the Hellcat, or the SRT8 … anything. Also, a Wrangler would be cool. The Wrangler saw another 14-percent increase over last year. That is just stunning.

Ram Trucks shot up another 14 percent, but that might be due to the fact that the 2015 Ford F-150 isn’t out yet. To counter that potentiality, Motor Trend did award Ram best pickup two years running. I’ve been in those — they are awesome. They rival the space in a Rolls Royce.

Chrysler is definitely stepping up its game with the addition of the new Viper, Dart, Charger, Challenger and a whole other host of changes in the coming years. They might once again be a dominant force to be reckoned with.
