Meet the Super Yeti JK Jeep Wrangler

 Super Yeti JK Jeep Wrangler

Hot Rod Power Tour Jeep isn’t your typical off-road Wrangler.

If you’re thinking, “Oh, that’s a cool-looking Jeep,” you don’t know the half of it.

Sure, the Wrangler definitely has been upgraded with some pretty hot looking custom mods. But that’s only part of the story that makes this two-door JK that we came across in a Hot Rod report so appealing.

For starters, the 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar engine in the Jeep, dubbed as the “Super Yeti,” has been modified to crank out 400-horsepower. Then, there’s the Jeep’s SKYJACKER Suspension lowering kit that lowers the jeep 2-inches from its stock height. Oh, and let’s not forget some of the JK’s other rather non-traditional performance enhancements like the Jeep’s Toyo Proxes ST II tires mounted on 20-inch Giovanna wheels.

The Super Yeti, which is part of the Hot Rod power tour, also features sways bars as well as a set of Baer 6-piston calipers for extra braking power.

That Super Yeti’s 400-hp power boost comes courtesy of an AIRAID intake system and Magnuson supercharger.

Not quite your typical JK, right? Well, according to the Jeep’s owner Murray Pfaff, that’s the point. “The idea was to build a sunny-day, on-road canyon carver,” Pfaff told Hot Rod.

Now, before some here start thinking about turning their JK into some high-performance machine, remember that the best place for Wranglers is still off-road and not the track. Besides, modifying your Jeep into some 400-hp hot rod is only part of the challenge: you also need to know how to handle all the power.
