You Really Need This Forward Control Jeep
If You’re Looking for a Cool Project, We Recommend You Save This Forward Control Willys Jeep
If you find yourself a little bored this winter, and you want a neat project, we would recommend this Craigslist 1957 forward control Willys Jeep FC-150. It looks a little rough, but everything seems to be on it. Rust has attacked the bed, but the cab and unique glass only appear to need minimal work.
Bring a trailer and tie-downs, as the car doesn’t currently run, but the owner claims the engine moves freely.

Jeep started making the FC-150 in 1956, so this 1957 model is a fairly early example. Being an early run, this one would be equipped with the Hurricane 4-cylinder engine, displacing 2.2 liters. Three speed transmissions were the norm, as the addition of a 4th gear came in 1958. A wider track also appeared in later years, so this is the narrow model, measuring just 48-inches wide.
Sale price is $3,000, which could be a deal for the right buyer. Readers who are located near Chicago are in luck, as the ad indicates it is in the northwest suburbs. We say it’s sure worth a look!
