We do take down links to PJK logo items and links to their main page when we come across them. Please go ahead and report posts of that type to us when you come across them so we can remove them. We leave links to technical information (stuff that benefits the Jeep community) in place, just as we do links to other forums. We just want to bring the most value to our members no matter what.

I'm sure you could find a way to get banned for doing this, but it would involve opening a shop, repeatedly pimping your services to a local despite our kind and desperate pleadings to you to stop, maybe some personal attacks... In other words, it probably wouldn't be worth the trouble. We don't want to remove anybody from the forum; we just want to keep everything civil and helpful, while at the same time offering a good value to our sponsors.

 

I was half way joking. I look forward to coming around here more. I like the place, just sucks having to proof read everything you say to make sure you don't get banned. I literally got another username banned for saying "Come by my shop and I will help you out". I don't even have a Jeep or offroad related shop, I just happen to be here 10 hours a day 6 days a week, lol.

 

A lot of folks are happy to be able to say what's on their minds and share their opinions without the fear of being shown the door.

Wait till you see our new forum rules that'll be posted later today. Your jaw will drop.

 

couldnt be happier with the changes here. its long overdue... this site was absolutely RUINED by the previous management. i made an off the cuff remark that wasnt the least bit inflamitory about the blacklisted vendors being unblacklisted and BOOM... banned.

my previous handle was banned so i just made this one so i could creep the forums and look at pics of peoples rigs. i had already found another forum home.

Wow, it absolutely blows me away after reading some of these posts. When you own a forum, you have to right to set your own rules, and if he's making money off of his site in a special way, that's no body else s damn business. If you didn't obey the forum rules, you were prone to get banned. If you don't like the the rules, no one was making anyone stay. And on a few occasions I saw replies back to Eddie from some punks, and he straight up told them that if they didn't like they way things were run around here that no was was making them stay. That's not showing the door to someone, but telling them to take their non sense trash talk somewhere else. A lot of you are making it seem like the old management was a bunch of horrible people. Show me one person that has done as many "how to" write up's, made high quality video's and offered technical support as much as he did. There was countless of personal email's that i've written to him for technical support, and he never failed to answer, not even once. Yea..... That's what I thought..

 

No kidding. I have never met him nor has he met me, everytime I wrote him an email asking anything about Jeeps, trails, his camera equipment he always replied. I am pretty sure this was his only job. The attention he put into it shows in the quality of work, writeups, & vids.

There are just a lot of jealous keyboard commandos that get all tough behind a keyboard whining about something free they think they are entitled to.

 

At the time I was 17 (now 20) and got on here and said "Im starting a detail shop and if anyone needs there Jeeps clean and or mud removed after a bog to give me a call". Well try to log back on the next day and bam... I was banned, sent wol a email asking what was up and he said that in order for me to be a part of jk forum I would have to pay the $2000 sponsor fee now that I own my own business. I replied back " I'm only 17 and its just a little thing I'm trying to start to make some money during the summer." He says, regardless if you own a shop and are trying to make profit off the forum you have to pay the.sponsor fee. I know its a dog eat dog world out there but he could have at least cut me a break, at least I was trying to do something productive with my life at 17. That is why I don't have a whole lot of respect for him. Other than that loved the forum.

 

Well YOU may have not had a bad experience and some may have deserved to be banned, but myself and many I know personally got banned for no good reason. We were loyal, local and friends with Eddie. It was actually a really bad experience as many of my wheeling friends at the time were lost due to them being from the forum. This is why I started JK-Adventure.com... to get away from the drama. It sounds like the new management is doing lots of great things to restore the reputation on this forum. Cudos to them!!
