Retired USAF here. Avionics tech on F-4s, RF-4s, C-47s, C-130s (a dozen or so models), helicopters from HH-43 to H-53 and all versions of Hueys, B-52D/Gs, KC-135s, C-54s, C-119s. E-3s. Also spent nearly 25 years flying as crewmember mostly on EC-130E/ABCCC, with a smattering of E-3 and EC-130H/Compass Call flight hours (4500 total). Assigned with MAC, TAC, SAC and PACAF at Keesler, George, Udorn, Korat, Clark, Tinker, Andersen and Hill. Gosh, I'm starting to feel old.

Working in the Small Arms Shop at Annistion Army Depot now.
Grand Forks, Osan, Lackland, Spangdahlem, Lackland again and Columbus, all pretty good assignments .

I think it’d be interesting to check that place out. I believe we have a Capt from my base in there; he was a dentist that enjoyed having his way with men when they were under… I don’t like going to the dentist. - KY

We had an F-16 pilot end up being reassigned to there, for disregard of procedure and the result was him bellying a bird on the runway (gear up) quite a site to watch one slide in like that.

I don’t know how he managed to do that, there’s an alarm that goes off if your altitude gets too low when they’re up plus there are three lights that come on when they’re down so he couldn’t have thought that they were down when they’re not. I can’t even imagine how pissed I would be if he did that to my baby. - KY

tower had him dump fuel and belly it in. when they checked it out after foaming the snot out of it... wahla, door open. lights worked. data stream spelled it all out quite clearly.
One way ticket to Kansas.
Edit: oh, IIRC the "official" press release was flameout due to trapped fuel. but that is complete BS for the media.
