Default Bantam, worth going?

I'm still slowly getting into Jeeps (ie going offroad) and got a JKU Rubi back in August to replace my X 2dr, unfortunately the Rubi is still stock. Anyways I live about 2 hours from Bantam and was curious if it is worth driving down there and back Saturday with my wife and the little one. I've read some mixed reviews and don't want to burn through a Saturday off and a bunch of gas to boot.

The Jeep won't play, however what I was hoping for was to maybe pick up a screaming deal or two, drool over some nice Jeeps, and watch some other people have some fun.

Should I go, or just stay at home and enjoy the day off, since I'm not spending the night and/or playing in the mud?

Thanks!

I've drove an hour the past two years to drool over jeeps and look for deals. It's well worth it to me.

I had a good time last year. Couple of decent deals, but nothing too good to pass up. They are actively trying to improve every year, which can be appreciated.

I've I lived closer I definitely have it on my off road bucket list! It's a history in the jeeping DNA so worth going in my book!

My guess would be well over 700 jeeps participating and over 1500 jeeps there.
(My numbers are most likely low, the place was huge so it is hard to get a full read on the count)
I was not at the invasion parade but I guess there were around 1500 jeeps in the parade.

Can't wait to make a week end of it next year.
Today was the best time I have had in a long time.

Thanks bantam!!!

The intermediate trail was close for a good hour on sat but once they reopened it up, it was a mess (in a good way). First time wheeling in a stock sport with 33's and I made it thru the run in one piece and without getting stuck. I've got the bug now!

My girl and I went Friday. She had more fun then I expected so she called off work for Saturday and we went again on Saturday. We ran some of the on site trails upwards in the Intermediate level. The harder trails were fun. The beginner trails were super easy. Did the Morain trail ride which I don't think was worth it at all. I wont be doing it again next year. We had fun in the playground, and I even got Kim, my girl, to drive the Jeep through the courses. I was proud of her cause she's usually scared to do them things. She managed and did well.

We made a few friends there. Had an awesome time at the Invasion. We were in awe at how many Jeeps were there and some of them are just downright sick rides. We'll for sure be going again next year. We had a blast.

Had a great time. We took the baby (12 weeks old) and ended up spending 5 hours. Would've stayed longer but the little one was ready for the 2 hour drive home. My wife, who I think was initially humoring me, suggested that we make an entire weekend next year. I'm pretty stoked and already can't wait. She also gave me the OK to do a few things to our JKU after seeing some there. Overall we had a great time.
