Default Fly fishing

What do you all think is the best flyrod combo for the money. Not looking for an incredibly expensive set up. Will be traveling up and down the Flint river in GA.

You can't go wrong with the Lefty Kreh Temple Fork outfits. Rods are of very good quality as are the reels. A number of my buddies guide on the Bow River here in Calgary and that is all they put in their drift boats for clients to use. Holds up very well in those conditions chasing 4+lb browns and rainbows.

I use a Redington 8w and G-Loomis reel for salmon in AK. A couple times I heard the little Redington creaking a little on a 20+ pound King.....

As far as the OP's question. You might just concider getting a cheap setup at Wallmart or somewhere like that until you decide if you like it or not. It won't cost you much, and you'll find out real quick if you like fly fishing or not. If you find that you do then you can uprgrade to something better. I only say this because fly fishing gear can get real spendy, real quick. And I'm sure you don't want to tie up that much money into something that you might not like. Fly fishing can get pretty "involved" to do it right.

Some rods say they are fast action and are more medium. Their is also Elkhorn flyrods which is out of Loveland, CO that puts out a pretty good beginner combo. Also if it is bass you are after go for a 5wt or 6wt.
