I'll be in Bishop, California next week for about 5-7 days getting my flyfishing thing on. Never been there before, but have heard great things.
Does anyone have any experience in the area as to what rivers, streams, creeks I should be checking out? Any info on flyshops, guides, places of interests? All help would be greatly appreciated.
If there are any offroad trails out there you know about, please let me know as well!

I've never been either but heard it was an awsome place

 

Brocs flyfishing service is in bishop. Might want to check with him cause I know some of the creeks close and parts of the river is open year round.

I grew up in Lone Pine. Lots of cool places to take the Jeep. There is an old mine that you can drive into as well.

Yep, already went a few months ago. I checked out Brocks Flyshop... and another one that was going to give me guide service, but they didn't call me back until the day I left a week later. Had a decent trip tho with the Jeep and my Lab
