I think the launch would'nt be bad. Maybe I could get "BUBBA" to sit on my front bumper for the tug out....
"Risk" is always exciting, and that looks like a very capable JK. However, the Laws of Physics (and the DOT) are unforgiving. If the risk is entirely to your life and property, your decision impacts only your pocketbook should the "unforeseen" happen. If innocent bystanders could be affected, be prepared for a huge bill, as your insurance will be instantly voided.

I'd just use the Willys if it were me. That looks like way too much boat for our little 2drs. Launching..........not a problem I'm sure. But pullin' her out in the mud you're talking about.....that might be a bit iffy I'm sure.

BTW....Love your Willys. I had a 55' also with a 350 in it. The torque was incredible. Sure wish I still had her.

No-brainer here for me, use the Willys! BTW, nice Jesters! I was really considering those wheels, but went a different direction. Nice to see how good it would have looked!

Problem is, the Willys is a 175 miles away form the lake/boat and the DOT REALLY doesn't like the tires and bead locks.... But it is insured.

10-4 on the Jesters.... they were a nice find, I get lots a complements on em..

No offense, but you're not correct. Most policies of insurance cover stupidity.

I handle multi-million $$ claims and I also bent an axle driving down an alley to fast and hit a pothole, insurance paid for a new axle.

So I have experience being stupid and paying a LOT of money to people for being stupid.

I've had the same thought on pulling my rig. I have a 24' deck boat weighing in around 6000lbs. wet weight. I have a 10 mile ride to the lake ramp, also the bank is a bit steeper. I've been using my F150 4.6L for towing, but would love to use the jeep door less. You've given me the courage to start towing around the neighborhood to see how she handles.

I don't think anybody said you "couldn't" do it. It was just a matter of how safe it is.
