I decided against these. I bought a Jeep to enjoy the open air. Not cover it up. I am going with some sort of off road trailer. Then you can set up camp and have the freedom to drive around. Plus trying to camp out of a 2 door Jeep with a big dog is a bit tight for me.

I went with a camper with a roof top tent.
The wife and I in the camper, our 2 boys in the tent.
Our camper with my version of a roof top tent.
It's a tent cot by Kamp-rite.
I welded up a roof rack to fit the tent cot.
I removed the legs from the tent cot and attached to the rack.

Hey Coy...........Love the set-up. Purchased an M416 trailer about a month and a half ago and I plan on doing a similar rig this fall/winter. Can I ask what roof top tent you have....Not sure what trailer you have there, although I don't think it's an M416. I'm looking to get the right tent for my trailer (and of course, at the right $$$$).
Any feedback would be great.........Cheers

eezi awn tent
they are pricey but well worth the price. I had the trailer built to my spec. Then as we use it I will change or add to it. It has a 3500 pound payload. Good for what ever. I like checking out other rigs, everyone comes up with great ideas.
