The campground is at 3300 ft and has a creek running through it,some fish for trout while there, others play in the water(kids mostly). Many go up Friday after work and leave Sunday.
The creek is behind this campsite.

Swimming hole.

Suicide Hill(Will be going up it this year).

Many were surprised the Humvee fit on the trail.

1. Roll bar or factory installed hard top.
2. Emergency brake, parking brake, line-lock or other redundant braking system.
3. Tow strap or rope (recommend rated at 2 times the vehicle weight).
4. First aid kit.
5. Jack capable of lifting the vehicle & tools to change tire.
6. Spare tire within 3 inches diameter of other tires, or, for tires 37" or larger, run-flats or tools to repair/reinflate tire.
7. Fire extinguisher with gauge indicating good/full, appropriately stored.
8. Seat belts for all vehicle occupants.
9. Antennas must be rigid or restrained in a manner to prevent injuries.
10. Adequate attachment points front and rear, i.e. tow hooks, receiver, etc. Tow balls are not permitted.
11. Battery hold downs (no bungie cords).
There are no requirements such as lockers, lift, etc. There are usually stock rigs, they just go the easy way(There are easy way/hard way signs along the route).
The trails are not named, just random trails within Blue Canyon itself. There are named obstacles,Two Step,Lower Granite,Upper Granite,Dog Bowl,Mud hole(sometimes),James Watt Hill, and Suicide Hill. The route varies from dirt road to rutted dirt,to steep dirt hills, tight winding through brush and trees,to rock crawling, and granite steps. It's not high country wheeling, but is the best we can do at this time of the year. Let me know if you have any more questions.
Make a right on Tollhouse road at the top of the 4 lane(don't be fooled by Tollhouse road before the 4 lane). Go a little over a half mile and make a left on Peterson road, then follow the signs for Bretz Campground,it's about 12 miles off of the 4 lane. Bretz is base camp for the event,it's first come first served(No fees). There is also plenty of dispersed camping nearby along the creek.
