Yup, one of the HUGE benefits to living out West....higher elevation....less fuel burned in motor....that is insane mileage to...I'm lucky to 450km out a full tank....

wow

in qc 48% goes to taxes on the brute cost then they get us some more

9.1l/100 km lucky you

i'm yielding 13.9l/100km on a good day 90% hwy

the gov't should cap it at a 1.30 /l but i think it would well worth the trip to ottawa w/t our jks and protest while we tear up the place

hey we paid for it wouldn't you agree

that would be great
drive up and down the front steps
lower the air pressure in the tires to drive over the rcmp spikes

chase the changing of the guard around the front lawn

gas capped at a buck would be nice at least then the economy would shrink
gather taxes from else where pay more income tax
it's not like all the provincial tax from fuel goes directly to transportation infrastructure it goes to everything federal and provincial
the people that drive and pay for gas are picking up the bill for other things that non drivers use more than likely it is also paying for civil servants that do nothing, lets start at the bottom of the rung, i'm talkin about when ya drive around your home town and see dave, bob and doug filling pot holes: 1 to drive the truck 1 to shovel the cold patch and the guy who will get the next hole. get rid of one immediately that is a 1/3 savings then like in are military multi train people for more than 1 job task so keep the truck driver and give him a license to handle a shovel thats a 2/3rd savings now, ya ya union well the union should be behind this move although they will loose dues they will gain with public support and knowing they strengthen the country opposed to leaving it vulnerable. I have worked at many companies where they closed the doors due to stubborn unions how did that help? where are those people now, did the union really look out for their interests?
Our labour laws are pretty good in Ontario and for the most part Canada.

everyone depends on transportation everyone without we would be pioneers or even cavemen fuel is the back bone of the economy not the stock and shares that are traded on the exchanges around the world

I have meet 2 people that quit there job cause it was to much money to commute for a 9$ an hr job.....they got to receive employment insurance
more employees are leaving this week.

how crazy is that?

I think this country would be better off if we allowed university student to run it.
political students law students and economy students with social and medical students as co politicians......at least they would be more enthusiastic about it!

well that is my early morning rant
stay tuned i will be getting my own air time on my own sirus channel soon.

Yep its nuts, I have worked under Unions (no choice, by the choice of my trade) but I have seen first hand working for a variety of Municipal jobs the lunacy of the way things are and the financially wasteful practices.....the guys filling the pothole was a prime example, but there ar emany others....leaving a three axle truck running for an hour while they take lunch is another......it all comes back to the taxpayer in one form or another......so we're getting smoked here and there.....

Time to go out west and live a little cheaper......this place is a gouging nightmare.....

things are so bad out west that the police in many forces have dropped their physical fitness entry acceptance level to accommodate more applicants
but at the end you still need to pass the same standards
lol

i have worked in unions, i have worked a scab in a strike that was interesting. but all in all every company i have worked for with union has folded at least around here and and look at GM those employees and communities are screwed now.

this best thing that Oshawa could hope for is that a certain Chinese auto manufacturer buys the old empty plant

So sad

got this in email today

CNN new release

Exxon/Esso will be installing 19" LCD Displays on top of their gas pumps this is an effort to spend the record profits they have and to make the customer experience more enjoyable.

The screen will only be on after 9pm and will show nothing but porn, that way you can watch some one else get screwed while you are.

Porn...

Its true about the GM Unions....they priced themselves out of a job....the union pushed and pushed and pushed so hard to raise salaries that GM can no longer afford to keep its core staff.

I'm still lookin west
