OF4WD,

I have lost all respect for your organization.

At first, I thought to myself, ok, they might be a little inactive but maybe they stand for something. Maybe they can give us a voice, just maybe.

Unfortunately, after your recent comments, I regret to inform you that you did seem threatened when the word accountability came up, and you start attacking The Overland Group.

Yes, we are small. Started out with 2 members, now we have 3. Yes, we are slowly growing, and I am very sad that you mock our efforts to support Sick Children's Foundation. I have a very special spot in my heart for Sick Kids. My own two kids are very healthy, but a very close friend of mine has a son who is very ill with various forms of cancer. He was pretty much given a life expectancy of no more than 2. He's five now! Only God knows how long he's got. He's even been granted a wish through the Childrens' Wish Foundation. If you met him on the street you would not know how long he's got, but he takes it day by day. His second home is Sick Kids Hospital and he loves to hit the trails with us when he is not sick. Unfortanetly, this seems amusing to you.

I feel insulted that two individuals from your organization will mock our efforts to raise money for what we believe. You have no idea what we do for a living, so lay off with the personal attacks and accusing us of taking vacations. I'll take my own medication here. I'll tell you what I'm about. I'm a proud father of two, making a good living. I work for Chrysler, and am very proud about it. My wife is an RN. I hate to tell you but we do ok. So, the last thing I need is someone telling me that I'll be gone for over a month from my family because I want a free vacation. Don't you think I'd rather spend time with my family?? Why......when I can get a free ride? Is that how eveyone at the top of OF4WD thinks?

I think you're out of line. Instead of joining forces, your organization seems to always attack us. WHY? DO YOU FEEL THREATENED by such a small group? What have we done to you? Is it that we just asked questions and wanted answers? Has your CASHFLOW been affected?

You've got questions send us an email, call us, or lets go for coffee. We talk and we share.

I really wanted to go to Camp NL. I'm sure it's great. Lots of great people must be responsible for it. But, I hate to tell you that I will NOT ATTEND. Be it for a few individuals that mock The Overland Group's efforts to raise money for Sick Kids Foundation!

I just hope that your kids will be as healthy as mine, and will not have to use the amazing services of Sick Kids!

First of all, I am not representing or speaking on behalf of the OF4WD. Am I a member, yes.

Not to break it down to a school yard mentality, but you started it!!!

You , well specifically Dion has taken many pot shots on numerous forums about the OF4WD and his question of accountabilty. As has been said before all records are available in full disclosure. I am sure if you actualy took the time to look at them you would see that NO ONE is benifiting from your $ 25 a year other than the 4x4 community.


What was the point of todays post " arcaic- sheesh" the thread has been dead for over a week. RR posts up to let people know that registration to Camp NL is opening today and you take another pot shot, again!! Why!!

Even though you may have reservations about the Federation, your little negative posts may just be enough to make someone not join of the OF4WD and in the Big picture they are the ONLY ones working to protect Crown Land for our use and by "our" I mean you too. Whether you like it or not, they work for every offroader, member or not.

It just seems that every time I look I see another post by Dion that stirs the pot. I just used a bigger spoon!!!

Why are you posting in this thread? Not an attack on you or your organization but... I cant help but notice that members of the OF4WD are not posting negative or irrelevant slander in your threads so in the intrest of sportsmanship and just good manners return the favor.

Regardless of past experences what you are doing is immature and petty.

I wish you all the luck in the world with your charitable venture.
And I hope in turn you would wish the OF4WD luck with maintaining our trail access rights.

What OF4WD does for you is maintain your trail access.

WTF is covered up??? The budget is posted for all to see. You Chirp about what they do for you and don't show for an AGM to find your answer. If you can negotiate with the provincial government and convince tree gropers we're not all evil I'll give you my money.

If you want to explain to the OFSC why we should still be allowed on trails in this province I'll throw down cash for you right now.

And for the next argument I'm sure you will throw out there "well they dont control crown land"

Nope thats true. But they have a hell of a sway on the provincial government.

along with the latest land management action of the GOV to establish more protected areas for the yellow bellied cock flopper or whatever newly endangered species there is.

So yeah 25 bux a year to be part of a larger voice for our sport I'll pay it.

BTW when was the last time you were on a trail cleanup? When was the last time you did something to give back and improve the image of our sport? Or are you the mulleted beer swilling self centered ass were trying to hide from public eye so we don't get removed from the areas we have now and are loosing slowly?

If you don't want to go then don't! Your opinion besides that is not warranted in this thread.

first off... i have never reported anything to the mods NOR WILL I EVER... i am a big boy trying to do what is best for the WHOLE of our sport.

there is nothing YOU or DION or DEREK can say to dicredit our organization. all people have to do is look at where it is coming from laugh it off.

EVERYTHING IS AT FULL DISCLOSURE AND AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC VIEWING ON www.of4wd.com. everything from financials, to WHAT WE ARE DOING TO SAVE THE TRAILS YOU RUN, to forums, EVERYTHING

I simply asked if you were the self centered beer swilling mulleted redneck slime that discredits our sport, I never accused you of being as such.

And if you have full disclosure and are such a trooper for the affairs of our hobby where is your up to date website and fiscal statements.

I don't know you or your attitude towards the environment.
Nor do I care. All I asked was you please attempt to respect what the OF4WD is trying to do for trail access rights. If you want disclosure and facts do some research and get involved. As said previously please attend meetings and donate some of your time.

Instead of pissing and moaning here about $25.00 a year how bout you get out and do something to better the sport instead of trying to nail an organization that is trying to do just that. How bout you donate your time like so few others to update the OF4WD website and in turn keep yourself up to date on current affairs?

Really you have to piss and moan over $25? to keep or trails accessable? To give all 4 wheelers a little more sway? For an event that takes moths of organization to run and clear with all levels of government? Really $25 is that precious? Less than a 1/4 tank of fuel and you have to start attacking an organization that is giving their time for you?

If you don't want to pay fine, but please don't detract from our cause.
