Default First in!!!

Had quite a suprise this morning as I pulled up the street in front of my office. The overnight rain resulted in some flash flooding. Our street was converted into a small pond. The water killed 2 cars. One died just as it got out. The other a 5 series BMW
was DOA right in the middle of it. The water was up to the middle of it's doors!! I can only imagine the leather interior. I crawled right through, stopping in the middle and opened my drivers door. The water was almost touching my rock rails. I then proceeded to drive to the other side and into our driveway. A guy was parked on this side contemplating driving through. He looked at me as I passed, smiled, gave me the thumbs up and turned around!

Not long after I got in my phone starting ringing. All my work mates were calling saying "whatever you do don't come down our street". "You'll have to go around the back way" When I started laughing they remembered what I was driving and said "Oh yeah I guess it's no big deal to you!"

It's been a while since I've been the first in!!

I went back out and tried to take a couple of pictures of me and the Jeep swimming around in it but it was still too dark!!!

Within the hour the water had drained and our duck pond was gone. Oh well Next time!!

Judging from his description almost touching his rock rails (assuming stock hight) as that would be about the hight of the middle of a 5 series door panel... That would be around 45-50 cm of water, 18-20 inches for thoes who still havn't learnt the metric system.

I havn't much to do this morning at work...

I find parking the Jeep in an area with alot of horsys/cattle or even sheep huddled together on a nice sunny day works best for removing salt. Be sure to leave it un-attended.
