Seat the nozzle only part way in, don't top up... never a problem.

That's what we do, but there's got to be a better solution to a factory component problem then a user work-around...

I've got the same issue. It has nothing to do with the positioning of the nozzle or trying to top it off. I've tried every possible method and it always overflows. It's only started doing this over the last couple months. I'm going to contact the dealer and see what they'll do about it. This is a potential safety hazard and should be a recall.

My 2010 JK sport with 15,600 mi just over flowed on me 30 min ago. I'm so mad I'm seeing red. This, compounded with the vibrations and trans issues that the dealership can't figure out, thinking that if they cant fix it, time to trade up. Hate to say that, with how much I love Jeep.

But a friend of mine who owns a YJ says this happens to him to! Called him to vent and he said he was already thinking of selling his (just bought it used). :(

I wanna be loyal, but what the hell is up with Jeep Quality? Oh God... There I did it, I sound like all those haters...

Update: Calmer now and less high from the fuel fumes... just gonna get let the dealer look at it first before anything. Worst case: pay it down until the 2012's come out and maybe get a new one ;-)

I have never had this issue happen to me?

We have (had) a gas station in town that still had the little trigger holder, I can click that on and go around and clean windows, it always stops on it's now, then I round up to the nearest dollar.

Again I am sure it doesn't happen to ever JK, but just today I filled up did the trigger hold sat in my car cause it was 20 degrees and 20mph winds until the CLICK went outside to find a nice puddle of gas along with it dripping off my fender...AWESOME

Just had some service done, had the dealership check it out. They couldn't find anything. I wonder if the vent line's too small or something.
