I have to start doing other thing other than th JK Forum on my computer. I just loaded Google Earth and did some playing around and WOW that is some neat stuff, but you had to figure that my house is 1 block out of range. anyone else played around on this, if so what dind of neat shit can you do??

theres a tool where you can click your path from one place to the next to see distances! you can also mark important places like ur house, work (not that work is important) and other things!

yeah its kinda neat being able to see the plaza's i go to, the Bars looking at who has pools ect...just dont zoom into my backyard and take another pic of me in my kiddy pool TODD!!!!!!!

You can export tracks from a GPS, then convert them into a format to display in Google earth.
It is fantastic, especially some of the flights that I have done in the mountains searching for lost planes.

There is also a flight simulator build into it now (Havent used it in months, cant remember how to start it, should be in the help menu)

MY dad doesnt have it on this computer, and I dont think it would work too well being a POS IBM, or I would find the simulator for you

you can load photos of the plaCEes u have been on the co-ords that are the places u have been
i miss google earth doesn't work on dial up
and u can drop ur route in to it

neat things well you can go to canadian military bases and count there assets that is cool then for giggles u can go to 1 US army base and see what they have on one bas is what we have on all ours combined...thats neat.

there is also a site that has found most of the funny or odd photos like planes in the image and so on. I can't remember where I found it

where the hell have you been
it is great little item to play around with map your offroading trails
see who was parked in your drive way that day when they snapped the pic

I beleive if you buy the pro program you get better images and I think more recent ones too

For the llongest time, one of our SAR (Search and Rescue) Buffalos was on Google earth at the Vegas airport. (It had broekn down there, and was stuck for about a week (Damn I missed that trip)
I guess that is when they got the pictures of Vegas. But I see that it is gone now, they must have updated the pictures for vegas
