Or perhaps simply providing your opinion. Making points usually involves proving one's self thought valid arguement and scientific proof. Seems to me we both simply just provided our opinion on this issue.

A few weeks ago ran into Freezing rain....and boy did the Cooper STT's SUCK on that....the ESP was constantly kicking in and fish tailing bad. That's when I decided to flip over to my stock rims and Cooper M+S.

Yesterday Freezing rain again....the COOPER Discoverer M + S did well.....I watched several vehicles fish tailing and slide through intersections but with the M + S tires installed on our JK they stuck to the ice and I had no issues with stopping or starting.

I will say it again....Any M/T or A/T tire STINKS in ice and wet slushy snow.....they CANNOT match the traction and stopping of a TRUE winter tire. You can maybe get close matching if you actually getting more sipping done on the tread of a M/T or A/T. However, the drawback is if you getting into colder weather and the hard rubber compound of the M/T and A/T will be an issue with traction and stopping.

Why? I personally can't wait for the snow to fly around here. i love driving the Jk on the snow covered roads. Sometimes I hit the ESP kill switch and disable it completely to make it more fun. The 4x4 works great and I have a blast. Just got my old snow blower running last night too. Bring it on.

My stock X tires supper blow, pretty decent in town and below 80 kph but any faster and it's just unstable in this slushy snow.
Sadly my rear wheel drive car is super planted, 10X's better @ all speeds in this stuff;... but it's got winter tires, sure winter tires on the Jeep would fix it's lack of stability @ speed but no-one seems to be able to order the size I want till after January ?....
Pretty sad when you can't take your 4X4 Jeep to work becuase you car is better in the snow...

why you ask? Cause the wife drives the Jeep and I drive my Impala LOL. I drive from Barrie to all parts of the GTA everday. I hate driving with alot of really bad drivers beside me all the time, usually both ways in the dark. Come on up Art i will trade you places . I do love driving the jeep in the winter just need some better grip is all, oh and the foot of snow that accumulated today doesnt help either
