Lingham Lake run TODAY
Three of us went Jeepin' up at Lingham Lake today and well...
What can I say about the run that hasn't already been said about Micheal Jackson's face.

JkGuy, his brother and I along with 2 beautiful wives and 3 wonderful kids went out about noon it didn't take more then 5 mins for Jkguy to twist his front spring out of place. Quik fix with two strong arms and a good axle flex. The trail was practically bone dry except for the marsh. Dust covered Jeeps to say the least. We went 11kms in to the hunting cabin right after the deep marsh with a sign that read "Deep water- TAKE THE BYPASS". Needless to say with no doors and 3 youngins we knew better than to ruin this beautiful day and start going boating

And so we were just about 200 feet from the cabin and about to spot Jkguy up the hill and all we see is my freaking Jeep rolling down the trail backwards. Keep in mind we have 2 kids who were suppose to be in the backseat. My heart was in my throat as you could imagine. Out the corner of my eye I see my 2 nieces walking up away from the Jeep," They're okay, thank god" But how is my freakin' Jeep rolling down this hill??? All I hear is Joanne screaming and I my heart again starts racing ( This all in the matter of 5 seconds)
Us 3 guys bolt down the rock scattered hill, I'm in flip flops... I kick em off... Here I go bear foot running like a banchee fearing the worst. I get around the bend and all I hear is "I'm OK, I'm OK". Joanne accidentally turn the ignition off while still in drive. On a good 35 degree angle she learned the Jeep doesn't just stop cause you will it to!!!
There are procedures to follow
Love ya babe. The Jeep roll back about 30 feet and off the track into short brush and came to a stop on it's own. She gashed her leg up trying to hop up and put it in park, grab the emergency brake, whatever she could, but couldn't climb up to control the bloody heep. But it just stopped, right off the track. Like someone upstairs was looking out for her. Any other spot on that trail it's sometimes a 20 foot drop. Anyway quite the scare but just a badly bruised leg and a couple gashes is all we sustained in that sequence
The rest of the day went down pretty much as planned, staying on the trail
And when we got out and on highway 7 notice I ran over a fence clip and may have puncture the tire, not sure till the morning when my cohonas fall out from my stomach
But all in all great day. As usual can't wait to go out again. Let's get another run going soon.

Ummmm. do they have to add this as a point to the JK Clinic script Jo?
Glad you are OK and that the day went well.
Do you guys try gong into the lake or the hill climb before heading back out from the trail?

When we got to the trailhead, there were someguys just coming out of the bush on quads hauling boats. They told us the run up to the lake was an hour shorter due to how dry it's been so I thought about it. Then put 2 and 2 together and figured an inch of dust covered interior was not worth the effort. And then there's the wall climb, I could not find that straight wall 2summer had went up on 2 wheels on. But the climb at the begining of trail, first pic, we decided it was very doable but some of us just wanted to get out of there and on the road asap. Like Jamie said, the mountain ain't going anywhere
But they will be the first thing I do next time I go up there. I don't have lockers and I remember that being an issue for some last time I went up. But I'm doing it. Yeah thx JITH for the heads up.
Oh yeah, somehow the passenger tail light cover has a half inch hole in it, must have been when Joanne was driving ( or lack thereof )
Called dealership for sh*ts and giggles cause we all know I bought one after that Minden run
--- 165+tax and your left nut
They dont just sell the red cover. Anyway I found one for 75 tax in with a metal guard 2 minutes later.
