Default Montreal area run in July - who's in ...?

Thinking about a run in July. One option is Chertsey. Some mild to wild trails there to suit all tastes - my only worry is most of them (the ones I know) are quite tight for the 4 doors.

Another option would be St Calixte. I went with a group from ORA last weekend to scout the trail. Lots rock climbs, mud, wood trails, river crossings - all sorts and all good clean fun. There are bypasses for the major obstacles. 33 tires minimum (muds) - rear locker would be a big help (if not a winch).

Looking back down the trail from the first (optional) rock climb (which you can not see!)

Went down OK, no chance getting back up. Again, optional (easy bypass).

We only got so far (a long story) so if we make good time we will need to scout a little further up the trail.

Anyways, let me know what folks fancy doing. Options are ...

1) There's lots of options at Chertsey so we can pick and choose what we do.
2) Run / scout St Calixte.

Let me know what dates in July would suit. Preferably 18th/19th/25th or 26th.

Cheers
Simon

I'd be in for sure!

I've never been to either place, but seeing as I have a stock Sahara, and relatively little offroad experience, I'd be doing some of the easier trails.

Pretty much any date would be ok... I'm moving at the moment, but as soon as that's done, I'll have time to spare.

Is this a run you're planning with ORA? I was gonna head down to the next meeting (on the 8th of July?), since it's super close to my work.

Nope this would not be an ORA run, just something we would organise amongst ourselves. (Glad you're interested in coming along to ORA . Not sure about the date of the next meeting - they are normally the second monday of the month, but the website has 8th for some reason - BTW I'll be on vacation so I won't be there).

I'm sure we can find some trails to suit you. Can't remember if you have a winch?

Nope, I don't have a winch (yet). Pretty much bone stock.

So the second Monday of the month I guess would be the 13th of July. Anyways, like I said, I pass by there after work, so I guess if I see a ton of jeeps out in the parking lot, I know I'm at the right place. Lol...

Keep me updated, and have a great vacation!
