No, but I liked his design. A buddy did the welding. Mine is different than Dave's, I designed the front guard bar to be the only piece where Dave's has the main cross bar in the back and a guard piece that runs infront.

Here is a pic from the side. It doesn't show that the end of the snorkel is actually coming out at a 45 angle at the inside end of the tube going thru both the quarter panel and the fender.

Very nice. Great job Rob. The endcaps look amazing - I wouldn't be surprised to see RR copy these to make a mid-width option for this XHD system.

Looks great Rob. Couple questions:

how much and where from?

Why did you choose this one over the River Raider one?

And can I get an under the hood pic? Wantti see if you can do dual batt setup with it.

Rig sure is growing up fast. Jesus I can't wait to get back and build mine.

Never mind Rugged Ridge, Rob, how much to get you to do that to mine? Feel free to send me a PM.

We have already been working on these....

I wanted them for when the bumper first came out... It took a little time to prove the point!

yes Ron there is metal cutting involved. The bottom end of the snorkel that butts up to the fender has a piece that passes thru where the fender meets the quarter panel, so a half circle has to be cut out of each.

Thanks Todd,

Im not sure if they are sponsors here (I think so) but just in case I wont mention the place, but the closest to you when you get back would be the store in Smith falls.

They are the only ones that I can find online that even mention these and they are $520.

As far as the River raider ones go, well I liked them the best a year ago, but I was sure the top of the snorkel was different. I remember it being very angled, like squared off or even a flattened out dust pan. I didnt like that look but I did like the RR from there down.
I see now that the RR snorkel is different than I remember so I'm not sure if I was on drugs, if they changed it, or if I was getting it confused with someone else's design.

I can post an underhood piuc, but you wont see anything, since none of the snorkel enters the engine compartment until the from end fits up under the end/bottom of the airbox.
For the most part it runs in the wheelwell, behind the inner shield. The only part that is not behind the liner is where it passes in front of the shock, but it is only about an inch wide(deep) there.
As far as the Dual battery goes, it won't make any difference at all.

Im not sure how the River Raider one is plumed though.

yeah, hurry back safe dude.

the front end goes up and connects to the bottom of the airbox (the stock hose is removed and covered by a plate)
the back end of this piece connects to a rubber connector which runs behind the liner to the snorkel body just inside the fender/quarter panel
