Default New ARB Snorkel

Well I put the new ARB Snorkel on the JK tonight.

it went on very well, the instructions are actually pretty good when you do it, but don't make as much sense if you read them first since the pictures are not very clear. But as you do it, the next step falls into place.

I am really glad that ARB has finally come out with a kit for the left hand drive JK for North America.

What they have done is run the connection to the airbox on the inside of the wheel well.

I was a tad skeptical at first since I am running 37s, but even though I have NOT yet field tested it, it looks like there is enough clearance.

Pictures below

Also, Notice the New Stinger (home made) and the custom bumper end extention

Did you have to cut sheet metal, or just the flare? Any pics from a side on angle?

I'll take wheel well pics tomorrow, it was getting too dark. The snorkel enters at the back side of the fender where is meets the body metal. The hole is almost 50/50 quarter panel and fender. By doing this, the pipe fits between the wheel well liner and the body panels for a bit then the liner is cut to allow the piping to continue forward outboard of the front shock (now in the wheelwell). There is a bit of cutting to allow the snorkel to come up under the airbox, but it wasn't too bad.

I have chopped those stock bumper ends so many times that I have lost count I had to to clear the 37s.
(I kept cutting the back edges further away from the tires). What I did here was cut them off about half way, then welded the cut off top piece onto the end.
(well I had to weld two pieces since I didn't cut it straight down but angled it to look nicer)
