I posted in the registry forums, but was also suggested I post here. I pick up my 08Steel Blue Rubicon on Thursday. Been trolling the forums for about a year, so we have finally decided to jump in and buy one.

First question I have to ask is, do I need anything other than a #40 and #30 Torx to remove the hard top?

Cheers

Welcome aboard, I'll vouch for Todd helping you out anytime, he's good that way, and he's local to you as well.

Hope to see you out soon!

A spare set of hands is EXTREMELY helpful. Especially with the LWB. Like I said give me a call.

That's all you need to remove the hardtop, plus an extra pair of hands. If you're going to attempt at putting your soft top up though, I recommend watching the video tutorials on the jeep.com site. I've had alot of experience manually putting up and down the soft top on a few convertibles, but was still confused by this one. The instructions that come with it are crappy. Think it took my brother-in-law and I about 30 minutes or more to figure it out and even then it didn't seem to fit right. After watching those tutorials I can do it alone in about 2 minutes and it fits pretty tight.

I think I saw your Rubi today on the way home from work...did you buy it at Kingston Dodge? If you didnt make sure that is where you take it for servicing, Pete the service manager is awesome there, and Jim Thompson is NOT off road friendly.
