They are doing a complete swap of my internals into the new housing....so lots of labour......... plus all my bearings in the pumpkin are fried and have to be replaced.. plus ,my outer U joint and axle shaft on the drivers side sheered in half as well ... when I drove it out.. so that needs to be replaced + + + + + so the $2100. is disappearing far far away. and becoming 2500 ..... National sent me my replacement Steering dampener and front shock yesterday (thank God for their sale right now... Frig this is really becoming expensive...

Ready to cry boys and girls..

uhm i think you are getting the shaft
you could have ordered a complete axle housing with internals for 3000$
I spoke with my dealer about this he said i could have a complete front axle same as i have for 2900 plus taxes and i would need a couple of extras maybe.
brake parts would need to be transferred over. and it would be a matter of unbolting suspension and swapping out hardly any work.

it sounds like you are paying to stock their shelf with axle parts for the parts department.

sorry for your pain but your ass fell off from getting corn holed.

labour to install a complete axle for the front is only 5 hrs and in book it is 8.

Ya, well it is 2995.00 USD not CND for the whole thing..d44 with brakes etc.. complete... bolt in..
I have looked at all options...and puked alot.... The JK is done hopefully Monday night? Tuesday...I hope....I have looked at all the parts avail through Canada and this is the cheapest option...plus they will not warranty a used axle and the drive train warranty is void if you use an aftermarket axle
Also, I have to fix my 1/4 panel where Todd crushed it in with his new high lift...
and that is like 2gs....

so I am broke...

All the Best

why warranty? whats the point seriously? chrysler can pick and choose what they cover. on road or off
the only other thing that will likely fail is your tranny overheating and catching fire. hope it doesn't happen

anyhow

you want a dent story try this one

went to spelmer chrysler to get a failed egr valve looked at after a considerable amount of conflict with them that they were not going to replace. well once they did a real diagnosis instead of just going by the light they said they would order one
well i get my jeep back and there is a dent on the drivers door (yes i look my vehicle over before turning it over to someone else) [something that has been instilled in me since i was 17.]
come out and check it over and dent, where it looks like someone kicked it.
great another conflict.

so i go back in the office ask service rep to come out and take a look
the only thing I say is "i'm not accusing but the facts are i check my jeep over before and after someone else takes responsibility for it, the dent wasn't there before and it is there now"

well they came out with guns blazing
"look it is all scratched anyhow, big deal a dent"
ya but it isn't my dent there is no story to go with it
"well what about the scratches"
ya those are mine and i know how they got there i put them there showing tunes around my property
"well if it was the lift the paint would have marked it"
i said guess it wasn't a lift then
they go on and on and on
i look him square in the eye and say....you have a dent guy for the lot?
"yes"
well get him to take a look at it! what every price he comes up with I will pay 10%, oh and if your thinking about jacking the appraisal i will go out and get my own as well. if i don't here anything being done by the time my egr valve is fixed i will be contacting my insurance company and they will be approaching the dealer principal. ANY QUESTIONS?

"we will see what we can do." he says

so any how came home and put clear coat over the pain crack that is there.
BASTARDS!
