Continuing with the 'Ontario Laws' theme - does anyone know what rules govern how far our tires stick out from the fender flares? Do I only need to worry about throwing rocks at the cars behind me (so just removable mud flaps would do) or does it matter if the tire is sticking 2" out from the top of the fender? Transport trucks without a trailer would seem to indicate that coverage on the top of the tire is not important, only the back.
BTW, can someone give me an idea of how far out a 35x12.5 would stick out (assuming correct back spacing)?

The HWY Traffic act in Ontario (66(3)) if you want to have a look says you have to be equipped with mudguard or fenders or other device adequate to reduce effectively the wheel spray or splash! Also there the mirrors have to extend more than 305 milimetres from the sides of the vehicle, but for the bumper.... The only provincial law for the bumper is that it is listed as a unsafe vehicle if you do not have a bumper! But in your case, its the aposite! Lol
