I'm French, and I'm writing a text for a customer, and I can't translate in English this expression "remise en fonction"

Example: A Jeep has been out of service for a year. And today the mecanic will put back the Jeep on the road.

What is the good word in English: the action of putting something back to work "remise en fonction" Is it "back in function" ?

 

back in service.......

back in working order....

 

RTS= return to service.

On the road again.

 

"Back in service" is good if we are talking about a musical instrument ???

"Returned to service" is the closest; why was it "out of service" for a year? "Made serviceable" " Functionality restored" "A-Ok" "Good to go" "Fully Functional" Take your pick... Mechanic

 

I would say "repaired" or "back in working order" but the most colloquial is "fixed".

 

I like "back in service" but there is also "returned to service"

Wich one is the best?

 

I'd just say, "back on the road"
