And yeah Dave, definitely another reason for 35s. However I just picked up a new laptop and my lovely bride came home a week before RC and told me she had bought a used camper trailer for 4k.... This pretty much writes off my overtime for a few months.... New rims and 35s will likely have to wait until spring, the diff covers I can manage now.

Dave PM with your schedule so I know which days are good for you to get out. I am thinking some time during november, likely a saturday.

Cheers

I run the ARBs. Checking the oil level is a breeze and they are very well built. They've taken their fair share of hits with no issues. The bolts are well recessed into the cover and are still scrape-free. Finally, the drain plug and dispstick are magnetised so any debris will stick to them rather than recirculate. Would recommend them without hesitation.

Hey Mark, you want a good deal on used SOLID covers?
it takes two bottles, so filling its not really the issue... its the allen bolts that are a PITA, only because I always seem to break the cover loose everytime I wheel.

JKdad Solids running a special.

$65.00 USD a cover.. I believe the ARB's are $144 a cover

if they wont ship them, let me know.

I'll have to look and see if Solid will ship. At 65.00 a peice even after shipping I would expect it will be cheaper to get 2 solids vs just on ARB. It is running 212 at Northridge, due to customs and exchange (mind you the dollar is currently at 96 cents US)....

If they don't ship easily to canada, I am sure that something can be worked out....

BTW that Riddler video was outstanding.

Get back at ya.

Cheers

solid wouldn't ship to me, so I got chris (piginajeep) to send them to me, didn't have to pay duties or anything, i think shipping costs were like 40-50$ or something? either way it worked out to be well cheaper than anything else. But give stan @northridge.ca a call he can work some pretty sweet deals.

I will let ya know about my schedule so we can go play supertroopers

My father has the front and rear ARB diffs, they are a bit pricey but are very well made, there heavy, tough, and solid as hell

Also the dipstick is awesome. You do not have to take the diff off everytime you change the grease i beleive..

Called Solid this afternoon. Guy I spoke to briefly said they would ship either UPS or USPS. Said the cost to Canada due to the weight was between 50 and 60 dollars. (he had just sent a pair to Calgary). Not sure what i'll get hit with at the border however.

Still if it is near 200 US shipped, that puts a pair of Solid Diff covers at about the same price Canadian as one ARB cover from Northridge.

Will call north ridge on Monday and see what they can make avail. National 4wd wanted 180 per Solid Diff cover.

I sounds like it would be similar shipping from solid directly as it was the round about route for you Dave.

Very appreciative of the offer of assistnace in shipping however Piginajeep. I"ll let you know what I end up going with. Likely the solids unless i can get the ARB somewhere for a steal...

Cheers

Stan at northridge has set me up with 2 ARB covers and lube lockers for a very nice price. More than solid or riddler but I took a liking to them.
