What an experience it was indeed, the Nighttime recon mission was a success. So glad that the Rubi isn't as dead as we first thought. It is truly awesome how we in the Jeep Community pull together and help each other out, even when the individuals are total stranger. Anyone else in there right state of minds would question going into the back forty to locate and offer help in any way possible. Truly awesome, and as was already stated...Always Pay it Forward.

On a side note Rocktoberfest was a great time...

I hope to get out and wheel with everyone again that was involved. We

Great story guys.

Did Rubicon_Monster drive off-trail into that bog? If that's on Old Logging Road, it almost looks like it's just off to the side of the trail near where I got stuck in the log-soup on the trail?

Same log infested soup that you got stuck in Rob. It was ten times worse this time around....

They held a big KTM ralley up there a few weeks back, the quads and bikes tore it up somthing bad......

And they say, we're the ones hard on the trail systems.

That's ON the trail?! That looks like the beaver swamp off to the side. Holy crap. I can't believe how deep it is. Must have flooded more or something.

That was the Corduroy Enduro that went through there. I actually "worked" that event, did some time control. I was actually discussing the problem on the trails with the guys around the campfire. They blame the quads and 4x4's. I said they all damage the trails in different ways. The quads like to run back and forth through the mud and they make these places into a soft mess. Then the trucks the trucks get stuck and really dig it up. But NOTHING can dig a 3 foot deep trench like a dirtbike.

I think I'm one of the few guys who does all these sports and sees it. Everybody else blames the other groups.

I can't believe Old Logging Road is now impassible by a stock Rubi. That's nuts. 2 years ago you could drive it in a Subaru.

About 1000 years ago I competed in "The Cord".

I can only imagine how bad it's got since then with the bigger bikes.

You just peg the throttle and if a rider goes down in front of you , That is Bonus Traction!

Nothing digs a trench like a Kawasaki with nice knobby tires!
