Default In the Ditch(Now with pictures!)

So last night I gave the jeep a wash adn decided it was too dirty. I drove a little bit north looking for some roads still covered in snow... found a few not to many which surprised me with the amount fo snow we have had in the past few days.

I see some snow drifts on this one road and start plowing through them. testing out the new tires!
Then WHUMP. My whole right side sank down about 2 feet. Turns out the road isnt nearly as wide as I thought it was the the 3 feet or so on each side was just 3 foot ditches that had been filled in by all the snow and were at the same level as the road!

So I am wondering what the hell! How do I get out of this?
I am literally laying on a 40 degree angle on the snow.... In a ditch. My brother could literally roll down the window and stick is head in the snow haha.

So i put it in 4low.

I try pulling back up on the road. No luck. Tried reversing out back onto the road following my tracks in... No luck.

So my brother came up with the smart idea of backing into the ditch.
Well we had no other option so If your gunna get stuck you might as well get STUCK

It took a few runs of reversing while turning the wheel to put my back end farther in the ditch and then pulling back forward to where I had originally sank in.

Finally one of my tires was on the road and the front right was almost there.

I tried pulling straight up onto the road but i just slid right back down into the ditch. The whole time hoping My tires dont catch and i flop over even more and dont have any tires on the ground

One more try. Back up pushing the snow back even farther. Finally both front tires are pretty much on the road.

Gaver a bunch of gas and she just popped right up on to the road!

It was pissed at myself duringt he whole event thinking... If I have to pay for a tow truck i am going to be sooo mad. haha

But afterwards I was like hey! lets get stuck again!!! haha it was good times.

So about the pictures. I am at work.. when i get off at 5 and go home I will post them, No pictures of me in the ditch( to worried about getting out and it didnt even come across my mind) but I do have pictures of the hole i made! and a few clean pictures fo the jeep! They will be posted soon! Hope the story does justice untill I put them up!

I should have shared your technique with the guy driving the truck in this photo. Not certain if it would have helped him or not.

I cant wait for that to happen to me again.
it has happened twice to me in NS on side roads.
The plows plow over the ditch and you cant tel;l where the road stops and the ditch starts

Yeah I must have just missed you.
I stopped by Wild Wings around 5:15-5:20
Next time
