Default wheels

just a quick question. I know i could put this in the modified JK but i figured it would get some more attention here. I have a stock x, and want the biggest tires i can put on without a lift(thats coming later because I live in an apartment building and have underground parking which sucks, anyways)

If i am correct the biggest I can go is 33x10.5
But i am unclear on what size rims i can use with those. do i need a 15 or 16x10 rim or can you use skinnier?

as well i think i have my tire choice down too

Nitto Mud Grapplers
Toyo Open Country M/T

Any other suggestions? i want a fairly aggresive looking tread.
As well I am young and the noise wont bother me, actually it would probably enhance the coolness haha

Thanks guys!

Morty

Here's a pic of my jeep with KM2's I know that you want that aggresive look, so you probably won't like these but here ya go.

Yep, 33's are pretty much your top size without a lift.....and even then your tire will hit the wheel wells at flex.....I might suggest throwing some bigger bumpstops into your suspension, as there have been many instances of fender flares coming off due to tires grabbing it and pulling them off.

For a very aggressive look, I would look at these:

Truxxus M/T ( 33X12.50R17LT )

Dick Cepek Mud Country ( 33X12.50R17LT )

Those are just a couple of options for high aggressive tread, unfortuneately the size you need are hard to find in really aggressive tires....most of them start around 34/35....

Do you have a rake un your suspension? If not you will be safe

As for the rims you could go 15 it will give the impression that the 33's are bigger and for width the 7.5 " rim will be enough

I never had a rake in my suspension and with my 35 and TF bb and 1.5 spacers I got minimal rub but I ended up trimming my BWs after I put my winch on

But if I where you I wouldn't waste my money on 33's IMHO

my only problem is living in an apartment building and having underground parking. i have like 4 inches of clearance... so with going to 33s(i have the very stock 29's) its going to make a difference there enough that any lift will put me into the "ugh is it going to rub this time or not?" category

Also another fix to this dilemma is to park outside ;-)

I run the Mickey MTZ's (33x12.5) on the stock Rubi wheel's... The MTZ's look great and handle amazingly...

The BFG MT's aren't bad at all... The Good Year MT/R's look great (I didn't like them on my 04 Rubi, but who knows how they are on the JK's)

Promcomp MT isn't a bad tire either...

If you're looking for that wider stance appearance, you might also want to consider wheel spacers... They do tend to give the jeep a more aggressive look.
