Grilled Apple Slices
Sorry, no pics.
My camera is a little out of commission.
But, I tried something new today and thought I 'd share-- I'm sure it's been done a million times, but it was a first for me.
Take as many granny smith apples as you want and cut them into 1/2 inch slices, crosswise. leave the core and the seeds in there. Each apple does like 5 slices or so. I seasoned only one side with cumin, black pepper, smoked paprika, some chili pepper (not chili powder-- just powdered chili-- like cayenne, only milder) and a little kosher salt.
Then, I threw them on the medium heat section of the grill-- spiced side up-- and cooked them until they were browned on the bottom and starting to soften. Then I flipped em and finished them off. They came out awesome! Soft but still a little crisp, sweet but salty, a little kick from the cumin/paprika/pepper and a little smokey from the grill. Great side dish for pork!

No problem-- I'm thinking they would be good on hamburgers. Maybe with a little bleu cheese.
Yeah, that is good... I've done that a bunch of times (sometimes I add Jack Daniels, too.
). But, it's more like dessert that way. This way, it's salty and spicy and a nice side dish for a savory meal.

sounds like a practical joke, i do not believe in grilled apple slices and you are stupid for even comming up with that you can not possibly think that tastes good. I like pizza myself and i think anyone that does not believe piza is the best food is a idiot and should go back to kindergarten, I have scientific proof pizza is the best food in the world and if you want to go against science to push your crappy apples on the masses then do it somewhere else.

Anyway sounds interesting I will have to try that.
