Great cookers. They are very versatile, they can grill hot and fast or smoke at low temps. There are a couple of things that aren't perfect though, you need electricity to feed the pellets, you can't just run to the corner store and buy more pellets, and they don't tend to give as much smoke flavor as other cookers. Only you can decide if you want it, but you will be eating some great food if you do.

My family is very, very big into grilling and we have/had several grills between all of us. Traeger's are awesome, I love the one we keep at the lake house. Very versatile and a great all around grill. You will not be disappointed if you get one. However, if I could only own one grill I would go with a Green Egg. Best grill, smoker, cooker, etc I have ever cooked on.

Just be patient and focus on it. You have to slice it well enough to be cooked well and brush on some seasoning while you grill.

That's a lot of Jeep parts. I picked up the junior last Saturday and have grilled on it every day since. With the grill, pellets and cover it was under $500. I still need the digital thermometer deal....$100 bones. The wife is happy though- she grew up on charcoal so isn't into gas grills. I still have the gas for those times I need more space or faster cook times. You can still use wood chips on gas. Do it. Don't do it. Maybe

Grilled on mine for the first time last night. It cooked more evenly than any grill I've ever used. Steaks turned out great.

reviving a semi dead thread. I use the shit out of my Traeger. I have a little Junior since its me and my wife. but my father in law has the lil tex. both of us use ours nearly daily. so easy to use, maintain heat. Grill burgers, steaks, smoke stuff on it all the time. a Whole chicken is awesome. some rub and let it sit on there for an hour and half and done.

Crazy how good of a purchase it was.

Thats good to hear, i have been looking at them or a long while now, the effortless smoking is what really appeals to me. Im tired of messing with my wood smoker, it can be such a mess.

I just ordered a brink man pellet grill that should be here Friday. I can't wait. I got the grill, cover and ordered an or tech digital control. All in all I am into it for about $600. Can't wait to learn the pellet game.!
