Default Carolina Trails / Camping / Beach Driving

Hey Guys... I'm new to the site and the Jeep World. Last week I took my 2010 JKU Sport, still stock for now, to the beach for the first time. Had an amazing time with some friends and family at Carolina Beach (Freeman Park)... What's the best places to take my Jeep without traveling cross country, trying to stay in the Virginia-Carolinas area so that I can do weekend trips.

Shoe creek.... And keep an eye on the Internet (Starr motors) for when they open the obstacle course up for wheeling (Suffolk,VA) you also have the George Washington state forest....

Thanks... I've definitely been wanting to go to Uwharrie, but I've also heard that stock may have some troubles. How tough are the trails?

I've never been (yet), but a buddy of mine just wheeled there in his stock 2WD cherokee with no issues... I'm sure there are spots he avoided as will you (maybe hahaha)... Just make the run with a couple guys who have been there or are seasoned....

TopHand... my first Jeep Offroading was actually done in Corolla. Beautiful place, I rented a Jeep (before I purchased mine) and went sight seeing. The horses are fantastic there, saw a few dozen. Is the smoke from Dare County interfering with the beach fun?
