I am hoping to make it up there. I hope to get my JEEP back Friday. It is in Charlotte right now getting a lift installed. My son and I hope to leave Charlotte and either head straight up to Boone or go to URE and wheel for the day and leave URE Saturday AM and head up there. It just depends on what time and day I get the JEEP back. It sounds like a good time time. Will know for sure Thursday evening....

 

Well, I just got off the phone with the shop that is doing my lift. The control arms won't be there until Monday so I am not going to be able to make it. Hope the weather cooperates and you guys have a great turn out....Maybe next time....

 

You're more than welcome to ride with one of us. Otherwise, we'll do this again towards the end of the summer and perhaps again in the fall so we can enjoy some of the foliage too.

 

Thanks for the offer....but I will catch you the next time....I am on vacation this week and was hoping to get the JEEP from the shop in Charlotte on Friday,head to URE, camp out and head up your way Saturday..It was going to be a test/break in run for my new lift.....Things just don't always work out as planned....Hopefully there will be a run to URE planned soon....If not I will set one up.... Thanks for hosting us this past weekend. I think that is the first time my wife actually enjoyed off roading. Well, except for a few different routes I took. Look forward to getting together again. I plan on checking on some other trails in the area and see if I can get permission from the property owners, especially the one we had to turn around on just past the gate. Oh, and I can't leave out Shatley Springs. Man, that place makes for a long ride home when your stomach is stretched out 5 inches from all the food.
