May 14th OK4WD is having their open house event..... usually we all go out afterwards.

COuld we move this closer to 4 or 5 o clock? As others have mentioned, OK4WD has there open house on the 14th and if you go to it, you can participate in the OK4WD Rock Krawl on the 15th at Rausch Creek. It'd be great if we could all meet up after the rock crawl event.

 

I am interested in this... I just started to build my 11 2dr sport.... I've never been off roading... It be nice to go with some experience guys in the pa region....

 

I am kind of concerned that if we wait until closer to dinner time, we won't be able to get seating for everyone. They don't take reservations, and we would have to pay to book a private party for them to hold seats for us. I honestly don't think you're going to miss out if you get there at 4 or five o'clock. I think most of us will just be getting settled in by then. I'm sure some people will be there for quite a while. Now, that being said, if the OK4wd event at Rausch starts to become an issue for a good number of people, then I guess we won't have a choice but to push it back until later in the day. I guess what I need to know is if there are a lot of you guys going to Rausch that day. If it's just one or two people, then I don't think we necessarily need to change the time. Those few peolple can just be a little late, which I don't think is going to be a big deal. But if the majority of you guys are planning to head to Rausch that day, then it would probably be a good idea to push back the start time. You guys let me know if this is going to be an issue.

On a different note, I'm going to post on the OK4wd event thread about our meet and greet and invite anyone passing through the area on their way home to stop and grab a drink and bite to eat with us.

Is this going to be, just show up and check things out in the parking lot and hang out, and go inside to grab a bite to eat / drink individually? Or head inside as a big group for a bite? Just asking, not sure how long I'll be able stay. I just spoke to a friend who also has a JK and he said he would be interested also in stopping by.

 

I"m thinking it's going to pretty much be come and go as you please. I'm not going to try to force anyone one to do anything that they're not interested in. If you want to stop by for a drink or two, check out some jeeps and then leave, that's fine. Or, if you want hang out in the lot and shoot the shit for an hour and then go in and have dinner, that's fine too. I know some guys are bring their kids, and some are bringing wives and girlfriends, so everyones' plan is going to be different. This event is about getting out and meeting some fellow Jeepers in your area that you wouldn't normally get the chance to meet. Not everyone wants to take their Jeep to Rausch and beat the crap out of it like some of us do. And even when we do get there, a lot of times there isn't much time for chit-chat. Just come out, do what you want, and have fun. That's what this is all about.

Oh yea, your friend is more than welcome to come along too. Everyone and anyone is welcome to attend, not just JK-forum members!
