hey everybody. a friend of mine recently had a baby girl named ally. she's been in the hospital for the last 3 months undergoing tests to diagnose her odd symptoms. turns out she has a rather rare blood disease called HLH which only affects about 1 in 1.2 million infants. she is only 6 months old and it crushes me to hear this news from my friend. he will be holding an event in part of an organization called st. baldrick's. they are the world's largest volunteer-driven fundraising event for childhood cancer research. i will be collecting donations along with getting my head shaved as are quite a few others in support of this cause. the donations are done completely online at the organization's website. i would greatly appreciate any help i can get in raising money for this important cause. the website is www.stbaldricks.org. just go to "find a participant" and type in my name, john knauer, in the appropriate search fields. you can also call 888-899-BALD. i know times are tough due to the economy but any little bit would help. i thank you in advance for helping and for reading my ridiculously long post.

Wow sorry to hear that, I hate that children get cancer and such terrible diseases. I've been donating to St Jude's for many years. I signed up to donate but I'm keeping my hair lol. Good luck to Ally and family.
