Either way, you need bolts and washers to hold the bumpers up, so I doubt making the hole bigger will interfere with mounting another bumper in the future.

I'm itching for 2-piece soft doors but I need to save my money for gears and lockers. Man oh man, my wish list for the JK is going to get me in trouble...

What about those corners? You see the new river raider corner and rock rail one piece combo...pretty sweet. Or their high clearance stretch corners???

Thanks for the tips Suffolk, my truck knowledge is limited, I can repair some things but I don't think I could repair most breaks. If my JK was not my daily drive, I would beat the living piss out of it. Still I would like to go to Rausch one day soon.

I contacted River Raider for their new full corners without the rails. $600. But I need another question answered by them, if I need to cut up the body to install these like their other corners. If so, not doing it. I don't see a reason to cut the body to pieces to install corner protection. I rather install it over the sheetmetal, give it a little more surface. Won't mind having side protection too though, a few ripples and dings on it so far...

If you're wheelin' with one of us, we always help out or do it for you if you don't know. Plenty of times I've removed shafts, installed new ones, replaced torn brake lines, bled the system, rigged broken linkages, installed new hubs, removed lunchbox lockers when shafts grenaded them, etc. on the trail. No worries. For a repair on the trail, all I need after is the run is beer and pizza, good to go.

ya know what Dimitri, i talked to a couple of people, and came to realize i didnt really need a winch. for the amount money compared to how often ill wheel, i didnt think it was really worth, ya know. if anything and i got stuck, i could always get winched out of something if need be. As for the drilling B, it was more like shaving. the 4 holes on the one side didnt line up just enough that i couldnt get the bolts in. i just used the drill to shave the hole a mm or so bigger. no big deal, its tight and good

Well Feburary 20th is the Frostbite run to Rausch with the club. How about the 2nd or 3rd week of January? That's the 9/10 or 16/17.
