Yeaap thats def not a good time for it to happen... had that come up same way on a old Jeep sport I had, broken track bar bolt, and the steering box broke off in the process of trying to hold her straight, and get her off to the side of the road... ended up causing the failure of 2-3 more things in a matter of seconds... was my first real high speed meltdown of a Jeep and I was only 18... I though I was guna roll her

50k miles? I bet your ball joints are shot. Plus, I bet your alignment is off. Fix both at the same time.

Oh, and if it's time for shocks, may as well get the right length ones. If the rubi shocks were free, ok, but if you have to buy them, just get new, longer ones.

My .02¢

Haha all those my exact thoughts all night after posting and looking thru the forum. Thanks any ideas would be great. Would anyone happen to know a good mechanic that knows what they are doing with jeeps? Around my house I'm a little weary with the shops around my house. I'm not someone that's super handy with cars and tools but I'm starting to learn slowly after buying my jeep

If you're getting the Rubi shocks for free, they have low miles and you have the original black shocks, then the Rubis' will provide a decent improvement.

If you surf back a few pages in this post you'll find a few local LI shops we've all had good experiences with.. Evan is in your area.. The Truck Shop is in Sayville on Montauk Highway.. Oddly, I don't hear of too many people who go there. Sammy's off-Road is in Hicksville..

Evan's cell is 516-384-5349.
Sammy @ Sammy's offroad 516-939-6624

Awesome thanks. I'm gonna have to give one of them a call and set up an appointment asap. Hopefully the issues wouldn't affect my new tires fund to much

I would also put it on the shop who did the install if things are not what they cracked up to be... You shouldn't have to pay for repairs for poor install... though it could very well be something that is unrelated to the install.

Have you checked torque on your suspension components?

What was installed TB Bracket ? or Adjustable TB ? just pucks and shock extensions ? or coils and extensions?

Haha its alright. It was the teraflex 2.5 coil lift with shock extension. I don't have the tools to make sure everything is torqued properly. I'm off Sunday so gonna try to stop by the shop I went to
