I went down last weekend to find that the trails are closed. According to the ranger's office they are closed indefinitely. Politics and funding no doubt!

It is not politics or funding. I went there for a long time. People started being stupid, and using it like an off road park. People that grew up in the area knew better, but the others tore up a lot of stuff. If you don't respect the park it goes away.
