i'm going to to Green Ridge on the 26th. its in Maryland/NoVA. I'm also planning on hitting Shoe Creek sometime early in May. Shoe Creek is more like the center of VA, but still VA. you are welcome to come out on either of those trips, or both.

Some info to get your started.... Green Ridge National Forest (GRNF) is simply a nice area in western Maryland that has a decent OHV trail - it is green at best but a nice ride. George Washington National Forest in VA has some more challenges and more options in terms of trails. If you want more challenging stuff then Rausch Creek is the answer. Don't forget to view the sticky thread in the East Coast Area (https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26919).

(used to live in Montclair for years [decades], now down 234 a bit)
send a PM to ThinkMud, he's also Montclair and he goes off roadin a bit too.
jeepik mentioned it (but not favorably) - George Washington Nat'l Forest.
also, there's some trails off Cardinal Drive, goes behind K-Mart on Dale, all the way to 234... sorta parallels Rt.1.
To be honest, I have been on those trails in years... not sure how the 'new' construction has affected it... probably has taken out a bunch of it from cardinal to dale area...
on a side note, did you do the lift, or did you have a shop locally do it?

Sorry guyz, I havent been on in a while. Yeah I did do the lift myself, it took me about 10 hrs .....with 2 trips to the store for a couple tools. Is the ride out to Green Ridge still on for the 26th? If so are you just going for the day and then headin home?

yeah, its still on, and yeah, its just for the day. Green ridge may not be a place to go and break sh*t like big dogs, but its still a nice place to wheel. its mostly for the mud. GWNF has a number of trails and can be quite a bit of fun to wheel in. Dry River is a rather challanging trail. I just got back from a day in GWNF. With all the recent rain it was extremely muddy.
but let me know if you want to go to green ridge and we'll figur out where to meet.
