No noticeable difference, I think you will only notice it when you have heavy rain/snow and you are parked up for any length of time.
I have 3 or 4 drips in the rear which appear to have come from the rear most seam. JK was parked up all day on the drive in the rain and got a good soaking.
No more than I get with the hardtop really.

Just got my OEM kit from the dealer, no chance of a used one. As for price, worked out about the same as importing one from the US if you add shipping/import tax etc.
So much better, now even my wife can undo it, no more bending down under the bar.
Also the Bestop one had a slight gap at each end, which has now gone.
Bestop bar with gap
OEM bar no gap
So big thanks again for the advise. :-)

You're certainly welcome, and it didn't originate with me; I read where someone with a 1st gen Trektop had done this, so I just copied their lead ...
I'm also copying your lead (on another forum), getting a soft top boot for my Supertop NX. I decided on the Rampage model rather than the OEM; much less expensive, and -- according to owner reviews -- virtually identical in design, appearance and function.

It would not have been as easy with the Super Top NX bar.
As you can see from the picture
I got the OEM boot as it was available from my dealer in 3 days, rather than wait to import one from the US and it arrived just in time for our Hols.
Check the other forum for my must have's :-)
