I'm XP Professional and IE 8.0.6001.18702, and checking the check box doesn't make any difference.

Another "interesting" thing on my IE8 computer. If I click Log Out I get the Logout Screen that shows me logged out, says All cookies cleared, and has links to the previous page and the forum index. If I click on the forum index it shows I’m still logged in. It looks like it never logs me out. On the IE7 computer it logs me out.

Edit: Just tried on another XP Professional, IE8 8.0.6001.18702 computer and got the same results - likes black, can't log off...

i miss the Black skin, with the blue higlights and stuff.

But the regular one is nice too.

White is too bright for me, but it's cool to change it up sometimes. I mean hell, we all stare at this forum how many hours in a given day.

x2.

Windows XP SP3
Google Chrome 6.0.472.63
Mozilla Firefox 3.6.10
Internet Explorer 8.0.6001.18702

All the above saves my skin color.

Weird...does the same thing with me on the logging off. I think it's an XP issue maybe. No worries...I'll just use the default.

Yeah I miss this set up too. It was easy to see forums and threads when they were highlighted blue.

I guess there won't be a fix for this?

That's what I was afraid of - this black background is hard for me to read and depressing. Oh well, maybe the next release will fix things up again.

Hey, I finally got it to work!

I bit the bullet and uninstalled IE8 and reinstalled it and completed wiped out all of my cashed files (including all of the cookies for all web sites), and now it works.

Not depressing anymore.

I just repeated this on my other computer and it now works too.

For some reason just clearing out all of the files wasn’t good enough for me because I had to remove and re-install IE8 to get it to work.
