Best 37" tire for colorado terrain.
I am moving up and can't decide on which tire to run. I'm thinking either the MT/R with kevlar or the KM2's. I want to stay away from the heavier tires like the Toyo and Nitto Mud Terrain.
Which of the first two mentioned do yall think would be best? I'm leaning towards the MT/R because of the extra sidewall protection, but hear they are a huge pain to balance. I also want to consider how them and the KM2's handle the snow. Any input is appreciated.

Wish I could vouch for the 37s, but mine are only 35s. I have the KM2s and they seem to work pretty darn well, even when we ran saran wrap and eagle rock I was able to negotiate all the obstacles with open diffs running at 14 PSI. I'm sure you remember how slick things got as we progressed up the trail.
I've never heard anything bad about the MTRs either though. Doesn't Pedro run those on his rig?
Can't wait to see your rig on 37s, I'll be down that road next I'm sure. Any more mods on the way to go with them?

For right now I'm going to go with 1.5" aluminum spacers as I want to keep my current springs and comfortable ride. Plus shorter springs seems to have a little more flex than taller, stiffer springs. I'm also adding Rokmen CA's front and rear, JKS front track bar at least, possibly rear too depending on budget as I'll also need a longer travel shock.
How are you liking those Fox shocks? I am considering picking up a set, but just can't decide yet on what I want.
I like the fox shocks a lot. I ended up getting the 4-6 inch shocks even though my lift is only 3.5 which I think is pretty common. My ride really is smoother then stock but most notably they really eat up those horrible washboard roads. I only have the stockers to compare them to offroad so there is an obvious world of difference, but I really like them.
Yup. I run the MTR's. I love those tires. I can't tell you how many times I've flopped over sharp rocks or busted roots with little to no worry when that stuff hits the sidewalls. Not too loud on the streets either. Its not a soft tire, so you wont wear them down as fast as others. Hope this helps.

For what it's worth I'd say the MT/Rs, I've been running 35" MT/Rs in the mountains of WA state for the last couple years and love them. I should be trying them out in Colorado soon. I'm really thinking about a set of 37" MT/Rs when these are worn out.
