If you don't get the holders before then for some reason, let me know, I can take a few on my roof rack. I should have mine by then if Bulldog can work some magic on my tire carrier.

Nothing this weekend, I'm finishing up Christmas decorations and shopping. I'll probably look to head out the following weekend, though I may be heading to Tuscon to pick up my bumper and might go hit a trail or two with the crazies down there. You're more than welcome to caravan down if you want. I'll let you know the if and when.

*** NOTICE ***
Well last week's rain was a decent indicator of what will happen later this year with rain and runoff, and after talking to a Forest Service Hippie who used to live at the springs for 3 years, I am advised to move this trip up later in the year.
This is up for discussion now. Whats a good weekend? Do we want to go UP from Phx or DOWN from Strawberry?

Seeing as I've never down the trail, I'm not sure if one way is better than another, so I'm open to whichever.
If we push it back, won't we run into more of a chance for more runoff? I'm guessing we don't want to do it in the summer, so I would reccomend March 7-9 as an alternative. Bit selfish of me, but should work for many as that is spring break week, so kids and wife are out of school.

Last time I did this road was in 1998 or so in a big huge red 4 door Ford Diesel, that got two flat tires. And I saw my first mountain cat. Big pussy indeed.
But that was in June, after most of the big runoff had gone down. If we can get across the Verde River at Childs, we have it made.
