I have thought about taking a class also. I think Emily Griffith offers melding classes in downtown Denver. And also community college of Denver offers them. Let me know if you take one and let me know how it is.

Yeah, I poked around CCD website. And with my being a Senior Software Engineer, I hate nothing more then a poorly written website. I quickly gave up on them after not being able to find when the courses are. I think you need to go there in person. + It seems you would have to take begging class on safety then probably wait until next semester to start the next. I want the boot camp style if possible. Your not going to be able to tell me that the safety class can't be handled in 1 day.

It's probably a little late but if you want to join us for spring creek, the springs crew is meeting at the McDonald's on north academy and i25 at 745. I've heard stock rubis can do it with good lines. Plus there will be guys with winches so its not A big deal if you get stuck.
It's about two hours away. Just west of Denver.

That's more of what I was looking for (for now)
I'll stay tuned into this thread and see if you guys want to have a meet and greet. Maybe check out each others rides, grab a beer and what not.

I would be up for meeting more of you fellow Jeep folks. It's a matter of timing on my end, as always. Each of the next three Saturdays are planned and then I am heading to Ohio for Christmas with my family. Perhaps a Sunday? December 9th or 16th?

Front Range Community College in Fort Collins offers a one day "Welding for Fun" class. After 6 hours of instruction and practice I became an expert.

Maybe CCD has something similar.

That sounds more like what I'm looking for. CCD has a class in January to start the safety part that is 4 nights a week for 3-4 weeks. The only one I could take would be the 5 pm to 8 pm class but that conflicts with a couple of other things in my schedule. But then to take the next class which wouldn't be for another month is only during the day and its about the same kind of thing, 3-4 weeks long, Noon to 4 or 8 am to noon type of thing. I'm not needing this to further a career, just a hobby type thing. But the "Welding for Fun" is more what I'd be looking for. Thanks.

Well shoot..... Found the class for this Sunday, but I already made plans. Looks like they do this about once a month.
