I just got my jeep this summer, so I havn't chained her up yet. I've hunted in Colorado and Utah for over 30 years. We've chained up all four many many times. The places we can go chained up vs barefoot are amazing.

7 or 8 years ago we had a huge snow storm in Denver. Everything was closed, roofs were colapsing. The Sheriffs Dept actually broadcasted on TV that if you were caught out on the streets you'ld be arrested.

My neighbor tried to take his kids sledding. He couldn't tell where the streets were & ended up driving his forerunner off the road, down into a gulley.
I chained up (big chains) my Ford F-250 all the way around. Backed up to my buddy & hooked up the strap. That truck not only pulled him out of the gulley, but I pulled him a half a block up this steep hill. All the while he had his brakes on full & was yelling & cussing for me to stop. The wife & I still get a good laugh when we think of that day.

Offroad, If it's icy & frozen, I hang the iron. For me it's fun, I'm wierd.

Hey, if you guys live on the western slope or Moab, please post a pic of your jeep & what kind of wheeling you like to do. I would like to go off-roading with those of you who are not too crazy in your Jeeps. If you tip over or almost tip over on a weekly basis, I prolly wont be going with you lol.

I started a Western Co/Moab thread:
