If you are planning on going, I'd bring some gloves and a lunch. Tools should be supplied by the forest service, but you are welcome to bring a shovel or any other tool you feel you'll need. If there are trees covering the trail, in order to use a chain saw, you have to be certified by the forest service cause this is a sponsored run by them. As a club, we've adopted this trail to maintain so we have to follow all there rules to be covered by them. Hope to see you out there, should be a great day for some trail riding.

New update, we are now meeting at 0800 and leaving at 0830 so we can beat the ATV traffic. So, bring a shovel just in case we need to shovel snow and we'll pick up any garbage on the trail and up at the mine and cabin. we cleaned it up last year so, hopefully there won't be that much. if you have a saw, bring it, but again no chain saws. many avalanches through the winter may have put trees over the trail and the forest service has yet to try to get up there to see what it is like. this will be real fun, see you there.

Can you provide me with better directions to this parking lot? I did a google search and found this...
Driving Directions
From I-15, take the Alpine/Cedar Hills/Highland Exit (#287) and turn onto UT-92 going east. This road goes directly into American Fork Canyon. Soon after entering the canyon, you'll reach the Forest Service toll station ($6 per vehicle). Approximately 5 miles later, turn left at a fork, following signs to "Granite Flat Campground / Tibble Fork Reservoir".
Does this sound right? Will they charge $6?
