Default Moab trail news

The Red Rock 4-wheelers club officers met with the developer that has purchased the State Trust land section where Lion's Back and the Dump Bump are. This fall, the developer will build single and multi family dwellings in the entire area. Lion's Back and the Dump Bump are now officially closed to all traffic. We have easments with him to continue to access and exit rights to Hells Revenge.

No, developers are just building homes and box stores around us so that we can live in cookie-cutter homes and buy useless crap that we really don't need for really cheap

We knew it was coming!!! it's a damn shame!! Red Rock 4-wheelers' does all it can to fight these changes with money and donations to the MUD fund (Multiple Use Defense) . Strike Ravine was another issue..there are many.
I urge everyone to get involed. Letters to the BLM (Bureau of land management) are always helpful!

I bet if someone were to post a sample letter with the proper address, etc on the forum we could at least flood them with some letters. Most people won't take the time to do the research on who to send it to and what it should say. Just a thought...Maybe Red Rock 4 -wheelers has some sample letters.

Every once in a while there are letters pertaining to certain issues....You can find a lot of info here... www.rr4w.com probably should have posted that As you can see the sight needs to be updated... This was also confirmed and votedon at the march meeting...a new webmaster will keep the sight up to date

Yes, yes it is. I'm afraid to tell you, but we have only 7 days to live. The sky is falling too, and we are all gonna die in a heap.

I was just in Moab and noticed the closer. That seems to be an awfully wierd place to develop homes, there are so many other places that would seem to be more devopment friendly! The 4 wheel traffic that would be going on all the way around would seem to be a deturent for any one who knows anything about that corner, and what about the views there are none, rock wall to the East, The dump to the south, path riddled dunes to the West, and finally Lions back to the North.

Agreed! but the facts are the facts and building begins in fall of 2007.
we will see more of this now that drillig for gas and uranium has returned to the area. The club is doing it's best to keep the trails and access open.
