Default Red River, NM ??

It's looking like the wife and I will be meeting her folks to celebrate some birthday's next month. We are thinking of coming to Red River. I've gotten some small info but I'm hoping to see if anyone would be up for showing us around if/when we do come that way.

The Goose lake trail is beautiful, look it up if you get the chance.

Fun place and great scenery. Probably around 40 miles of mountain roads / trails.

It looks gorgeous there. We will have all of our recovery gear with us, and hopefully my winch mounted by then too. I know it its never wise to wheel adobe, but are there any id these treats that agree too difficult to pass solo?

You will be able to do all of it alone if you wanted. Not any real hard wheeling. Just very senic and relaxing. 4 of July (or may be called midnight meadows?) is the only challenge because of the mud. Not bad mud just enough to have fun. Winch would be nice but not a necessity. Enjoy!

Good to know. I'll hopefully have the winch on there by then just in case. If not, I'll be doing a lot of digging.

Make sure and air down on goose lake or pioneer trail. Lot of small rocks makes for a bumpy ride. I run 10-12 up there on 37s.

I usually go down to 12F 10R since the wife and I have jacked up backs. We need a smoother ride. We are for sure going on this trip, and using it as a test run for the Jeep before we hit Rubicon this summer. If anyone gets an itch and decides to come join us we'd be happy to follow or lead. I'll have my winch mounted by then, I told the wife it wasn't an option... We'd either have a winch or not be wheeling.
